The Carriage
The carriage is similar to a traditional lift truck as the lifting attachment could be tilted forwards and backwards from its horizontal. The tilt that is possible on this equipment exceeds more than that of the vertical masts. There is a large variety of available lifting attachments, and this positioning ability makes them as effective as possible.

The majority of telehandlers are capable of tilting forward to a point where the carriage is actually parallel with the ground believe it or not! Moreover, lots of models offer rotating carriages too. This allows the operator to radially adjust the lifting attachment. This translates to the load being able of being tilted backwards and forwards, and side to side.

Load Capacity
Knowing a telehandler's load capacity is a a lot different exercise than it is on a vertical mast model. The capacity of the model is completely dependent on such things as: boom extension and angle, whether the unit is lifting on outriggers or on rubber tires, and the amount of boom transaction deployed, if this is applicable. What's more, which lifting attachment plays an important role, as does the wind, the grade the equipment is operating on and so on. All of these specifics can be changing regularly and this gives the operator a lot more information to take into account.

Normally, telehandlers have several load charts available in order for the operator to reference so they could determine the load capacity of a certain lift. Depending on the configuration of the boom and the model in particular, the load capacity could differ by thousands of pounds all together.
